1. Install Ollama (local AI engine)
Download and install Ollama — no account required, everything runs on your machine.
ollama.com → Download2. Pull your first model
Open a terminal (PowerShell or Command Prompt) and run:
ollama pull phi3:mini
Phi-3 mini is fast and fits 4–8 GB RAM. For more power: ollama pull llama3.2
3. Launch your Skillab app
Run the .exe you received (or open the app from your download). The first screen shows the Sovereign Oath and Offline-First benefits — that’s your guarantee: no cloud, no API keys.
4. Run your first verified test
Enter a query that matches your indexed documents (e.g. a question about a file you’ve loaded). You should see answers tagged with [Source ID]. If you ask something outside your data, the app will respond with Insufficient Data — that’s Zero-Hallucination: it refuses to guess.
No indexed data yet? Load a PDF or document in the app first, then ask about its content.
